Digital Productions

Our Digital Production Team has been established with the aim of delivering several productions a year for a variety of broadcasters. Since 2016 we have filmed Northern Ballet's 1984 for The Space and BBC4, Streetwise Opera's The Passion for The Space and BBC4 as well as Tiny Fires/Theatre 503/Wales Millennium Centre's Land of Our Fathers for The Space and Rumplestiltskin from BalletLORENT with The Space.

Riverside Studios’ digital production team has gained a reputation as leaders in the field of live capture, supporting other arts organisations and independent artists with their digital outputs and strategies. Specialising in the live-capture of ballet, opera and theatre the team have worked on commissions from the BBC & Arts Council commissioning body The Space with a range of different creative partners.

Digital arts are imperative to improving access to the arts. Riverside is committed to using and developing new technologies to allow more people access to a wider range of artistic experiences and opportunities. The new Riverside Studios will be fully equipped with state-of-the-art facilities to capture and broadcast live performance. This will be an enormous benefit to visiting companies who will have the option to professionally record their work for future distribution.
