Artistic Policy

Riverside Studios aims is to present high quality work that is driven by passion, relevance and purpose across all forms of performance.

Our Artistic Policy is influenced by the following:-

  • All work needs to be appropriate for our flexible theatre spaces- Studio 2 (cap 450) & Studio 3 (cap 200) which are non-proscenium black boxes.
  • We wish to continue our historic commitment to showcase international work
  • Riverside Trust receives no public funding and will not be able to produce in-house in the first 2 years post re-opening.  All work therefore is programmed on a commercial basis with companies hiring the spaces with our marketing support.  We are open to innovative funding models and will work with companies to support funding applications
  • Our desire to make the arts accessible through technology will favour work with a digital element

If you have work that you would like to be considered as part of the programme in the next three years this should be submitted to – [email protected]
